Our story begins with the Vermeer family. In 1948, Vermeer Co. was founded by Gary Vermeer in Pella, Iowa, USA. Gary left a legacy, and with the support of his family helped Vermeer Corporation grow into a global industry. His philosophy of success was simple: Find the need. Fill the need with a long-term solution. And just do your best!
Gary Vermeer was succeeded by daughter Mary, and since 2015 by her son Jason, who is the first of the third generation to run the family business as president and CEO. The family has also run the Vermeer Foundation for Improving Education and Quality of Life for more than 30 years.
